Dr. McColl, Msc, phd
Clinical Psychology & Neuropsychologist, Co-Founder
Dr. McColl holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from McGill University (accredited by both Canadian Psychological Association, American Psychological Association and is one of 14 programs (the only in Canada) with the prestigious PCSAS accreditation). She also has a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) from Queen’s University (First Class Honours) and a Master’s of Science in Psychology from Dalhousie University.
Dr. McColl completed her clinical internship in neuropsychology at the Montreal Neurological Institute and has training in child clinical psychology and neuropsychology from the Montreal Children’s Hospital (Neurotrauma Clinic, Psychology Department, Developmental Progress Clinic, Behavioural Pediatrics Group).
She also has doctoral training with adolescents and adults at the Jewish General Hospital (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Clinic, Herzl Family Practice Centre, and the Behavioural Medicine Chronic Pain Clinic) and has outpatient experience from the Douglas Institute, Outpatient Psychiatry.
Dr. McColl’s research experience includes migraine headaches, neurovisual disorders, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), cognitive effects of concussions, cognitive testing in clinical trials, applied research on the effects of lighting on health, body image in HIV, and women’s sexual disorders. She has presented at National and International conferences in Canada, USA, and Europe. She has been a consultant to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and worked with key-opinion and science leaders across Canada, US and Europe.
Dr. McColl has taught psychology and research methods courses and given lectures at McGill University, Dalhousie University, University of Toronto, and Vanier College.
Dr. Ste-marie, phd
Child Psychologist/Pédopsychologue, Co-Founder
As Co-founder of West Island Psychological Services (WIPS), Dr. Ste-Marie’s goal is to guide children and their families to reach their highest potential at home, school, and in their community.
Dr. Ste-Marie received her master’s and doctorate degrees from McGill University in Educational Psychology with a Major in School/Applied Child Psychology and a Minor in Applied Developmental Psychology. She completed her doctoral internship at the Child Psychiatry Day Hospital Program of the Jewish General Hospital.
Dr. Ste-Marie has provided psychological services to children, adolescents, and families in a variety of clinical settings, including non-profit organizations, public and private schools, hospitals, and private practices. She has worked with children ranging from 6 months of age to high school age, presenting with a variety of developmental, learning, emotional, and behavioural problems.
She specializes in assessments of children and adolescents, individual therapy for a variety of child-related issues (12 years and under), and parental coaching.
Dr. Ste-Marie has conducted research on the impact of anxiety, social stress, parental styles, on adolescent behavior. She has presented her research at national and international conferences and has published in well-known journals.

Dr. Zygmuntowicz, phd
Pediatric Psychologist
Dr. Zygmuntowicz is a pediatric psychologist specializing in the psychological and physical well-being of infants, children, and adolescents and their families. For over 15 years, she has had the privilege of working with families to find solutions that are individually tailored to their priorities while keeping the best interests of the child at the forefront of her work.
Dr. Zygmuntowicz’s expertise is in pediatric psychology(concerns related to medical and developmental issues), behavioural, and developmental assessment and therapy gleaned initially from doctoral level training in school and applied child psychology from McGill University. Her training has included APA approved internship in the United States, international, local, and remote research, as well as internships in various local hospitals and schools. She continues to engage in regular education and teaching to stay abreast of current research and therapeutic techniques and share her knowledge.
Dr. Zygmuntowicz continues to work as a member of the team of psychologists at the Montreal Children’s Hospital where she has enjoyed more than 10 years specializing in child development and pediatric feeding disorders.
A sample of some of the work that Dr. Zygmuntowicz is typically involved with includes; adolescents with elevated stress, parent coaching (for behavioural concerns, parent role development/coping), feeding disorders of youth, helping individuals cope with anxiety/depression, managing tics, assessing and coping with ADHD, managing stress and difficult transitions including divorce, self-esteem, coping with medical issues, and assessment/intervention for difficult behaviour/symptoms (school/academic functioning, autism spectrum disorder, tantrums, anger/rage, impulsiveness, worry, sadness).
Dr. Zygmuntowicz engages empirically supported therapeutic techniques and aims to use short-term treatment options whenever appropriate.
